Plastic Enclosure, PC Box
Plastic enclosures are designed to house and protect sensitive electronic and electrical components in various applications.
Plastic enclosures protect electronic components from external factors like dust, moisture and temperature fluctuations.
These are used widely in industries like telecommunications and electronics.
Our high-quality and durable plastic housings are moulded from impact-resistant polycarbonate for indoor or outdoor applications that require non-metallic enclosures.

Injection Molding Performance of Polycarbonate BOX
Its crystalline polymer nature characterizes Polycarbonate (PC). It exhibits a distinct melting point at 220℃ and decomposition at 350℃. Its optimal processing temperature ranges between 250 and 320℃. Even slightly, PC tends to absorb moisture, which can lead to decomposition at elevated temperatures. Consequently, preconditioning by drying at 120℃ for 4–5 hours before injection molding is imperative.
The melt viscosity of PC is notably high, necessitating elevated injection pressures during processing. To mitigate internal stresses in the final product, mold temperature control can elevate mold temperature, provided processing conditions allow. For insert molding, preheating is discretionary for inserts with a diameter smaller than 1–2mm; however, larger inserts must be preheated to prevent internal stress-induced cracking.
PC exhibits consistent shrinkage rates irrespective of processing conditions and product thickness. With similar vertical and horizontal shrinkage rates, PC is conducive to producing high-precision components. Its shrinkage rate typically ranges around 5‰ with an overflow limit of 0.05mm.
Benefits of Plastic Enclosure Molds
III. Streamlined Production and Efficiency:
- Faster Production Cycles: Injection molding with plastic enclosure molds offers a rapid production process compared to manual fabrication methods. This allows manufacturers to meet tight deadlines and respond to market demands quickly.
- Reduced Labor Costs: The automated nature of injection molding with molds minimizes the need for manual labor, leading to lower production costs and improved overall efficiency.
- Scalability: The same mold can produce enclosures in different quantities, allowing manufacturers to scale production up or down based on market needs easily.
Durability and Long-Term Value:
- High-Quality Molds: Molds constructed from robust materials like steel or aluminium can withstand extensive use, ensuring long-term value and a high return on investment.
- Reduced Maintenance Needs: Well-maintained molds require minimal upkeep, minimizing downtime and production delays associated with repairs or replacements.
- Mold Versatility: Certain molds can be adapted to create enclosures for different electronics with minor modifications, extending their use beyond a single product design.
